This privacy policy explains how Tech IS You ("we", "us") handles information when you use our Role Fit Navigator at techisyou.com. We've written this in plain English because we think you deserve to understand it.

What we do — and don't — store

We do not store your CV or job descriptions. When you paste them into our tool, they are sent directly to the AI analysis service (Anthropic) to generate your report and are not saved to any database on our end.

Your report content is temporarily held in your browser's local storage so you can access it during your session. This data stays on your device and is not stored on our servers.

What information we collect

When you purchase a Role Fit Report, your payment is processed by Stripe. We receive the following from Stripe after a successful payment:

• Your email address (used to confirm your purchase)
• A payment reference number
• The date and amount of your transaction

We do not receive or store your card number or full payment details — these are handled entirely by Stripe.

How we use your information

Your email address is used only to:

• Confirm your payment and provide access to your report
• Respond to any support queries you raise

We do not send marketing emails, share your data with third parties for marketing purposes, or sell your information.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate this product:

• Anthropic — processes your CV and job description text to generate your report. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. Text sent to Anthropic is not used to train their models by default.
• Stripe — processes payments securely. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
• Netlify — hosts the website and serverless functions.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you
• Request that we delete any personal data we hold
• Object to how we process your data

Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Our site uses only functional browser storage (local storage) to hold your report data temporarily during your session.

Data retention

Payment records (email address and transaction reference) are retained for up to 7 years for legal and accounting purposes, in line with UK law. Your CV and job description text is never retained beyond your active session.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
